Kaneda’s bike is an electric motorbike study based on the iconic film vehicle. An electromagnetic propulsion engine is centred at the rear wheel where a halo glow amplifies the infinite thrust of the motor. The sculptural expression is kept to a minimum to create a clean canvas for the bold sticker application based on the original design.
INSPIRATION
The goal was to simplify the original design language and create a more tech led expression. The integration of mechanical elements and a reduction of visible parts lead to a surface language that has a clean but bold expression. Patterns and controlled split lines create just enough detail to give the right amount of focus and definition to the overall volume.
